being the joker doesn’t leave you much room for assurance.

you create an ever-shifting, dynamic environment…

one that will collapse on command.

maybe to give an illusion of control, 

or because you’re always prepared for the worst. 

you never expect to succeed,

you designed your world that way.

you can’t blame anyone else.

everyone’s impression of or relation to you shifts…

in accordance with this environment you create,

forcing an agenda onto others…

when you’re unsure if you even want it for yourself. 

but it comes naturally, which must mean it’s right… 

right?

some are able to evade this puzzle from first impression,

in spite of how compelling it can be.

they have the self-control to not get obsessed with solving it.

others do not, imposing their own agenda on your world.

but there are some that aren’t trying to solve anything at all,

and are just down for the ride. 

are they in over their heads, 

victims of this false advertisement?

or are they also at fault for making you believe…

that you are not a disastrous cycle of insecurity and chaos?

in the end, the joker is not gaining anything,

just numbing themselves to the loss.
