true silence is unobtainableโ€ฆย

an impossible accomplishment in our material world.ย

human beings are creators, they add to what is already here.ย

at some point, however, human beings became destroyersโ€ฆ

through mass consumption and the rampant production that perpetuates it.

all of what was previously there has been replaced by our own creations.ย

in either case, there was never nothing.ย

always somethingโ€ฆย

whether of nature or of artificial result.ย

everything we do makes noise.ย

when we do it bigger or more intently, it is much louderโ€ฆ

drowning out the sound of smaller, unsure actions.ย

but to exist is to be in action, regardless of magnitude or conviction.

what we hear is what we do, and what we do is who we are.ย

silence would henceforth indicate oneโ€™s ceasing of being.ย

we cannot comprehend what it is like not to beโ€ฆ

not to actโ€ฆ

not to produce noise.ย

as is any interpretation of the afterlife, silence is mythological.ย

perhaps that is the association between peace and quiet.ย

ultimately, true peace waits for silence.
